Simpulse has demonstrated high-definition video transmission over a distance of more than 200 km
This achievement was made possible by the SL300 radio link, which features anti-jamming technology and is based onthe company’s proprietary Software Defined Radio (SDR).
To conduct this demonstration, Simpulse utilized the expertise and airborne resources of the Multimodal Airborne Engineering Platform (PIMA) at the Institute of Electronics and Digital Technologies (IETR) in Rennes, a public laboratory affiliated with the CNRS.
The test involved two ‘long-range’ versions of the SL300 modem: one was installed aboard an IETR aircraft carrying an HD videocamera, and the other was integrated into Simpulse’s GRS-T300 ground station, positioned at the edge of the airfield runway.

The aircraft flew up to 220km away from the airfield, reaching an altitude of 3,400m (11,100 ft) to stay above the horizon.
The plane turned around at 220km, and throughout the entire flight, the bi-directional radio link remained operational, allowing for the reception of HD video up to a range of 200km.

The long-range version of the SL300 modem is expected to be commercially available at the end of 2025, offering new solutions for robust connectivity in demanding environments.
